Semillas

Semillas (Seeds) seeks to be a powerful tool for social change. It is an on-going docuseries of short films that highlights community-based climate solutions in Mexico. The first episodes portray three women that use the power of citizen science to protect the native flora, fauna, and fungi of Nuevo León.

As the city of Monterrey has experienced rapid growth and development, its impact on the environment has become increasingly evident. The water crisis, air pollution, and loss of biodiversity are just some of the challenges the metropolitan area faces. Semillas stems from the urgent need to encourage local climate action and demonstrate that it is indeed possible to heal the city's relationship with our natural environment.
